چکیده

Current LMS standards do not explicitly address the encoding of the metadata structures that are needed to support student learning-paths in user-adaptative web-based learning systems. We describe our approach in extending the IMS content packaging standards to include metadata for knowledge-based learning path navigation, along with insights in how to exploit that information in intelligent navigation or agent-based content delivery systems.

Usability of a Runtime Environment for the Use of IMS Learning Design in Mixed Mode Higher Education

Starting from the first public draft of IMS Learning Design in November 2002, a research project at the Catholic University Eichstaett-Ingolstadt in Germany was dedicated to the conceptual examination and empirical review of IMS Learning Design Level A. A prototypical runtime environment called ‘lab005’ was developed. It was built based on Moodle, a web-based, open source course management syst...

Authoring a Collaborative Task Extending the IMS-LD to be Performed in a Standard-based Adaptive Learning Management System called aLFanet

The authoring process in adaptive Learning Management Systems should facilitate authors the specification of how services are to be used in the course context and how the run time adaptation has to be delivered. These specifications should be used as well to provide useful feedback to authors after the learners real experience in the course. In this paper, we deal with these aspects in the cont...
